Blistex was founded in 1947 as a small, family-run company developing and marketing lip care products, primarily in the United States. Our goals back then were to create high-quality products, achieve consistent growth, and become an innovative leader in lip care. The pursuit of quality and customer service led us in 1967 to establish our own research and development facilities, as well as build our manufacturing complex and corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois. This move has enabled us to closely control every stage of our business from product formulation and testing to manufacturing and marketing. Over the years, continued growth has been driven by constant innovation in the Blistex product line. New products have been added and existing products have been improved as Blistex moved into lip care and health care markets around the world. Today, the Blistex tradition is continued by the second generation of our founding family. And we still believe in our original goals. Product quality. Growth. Collaboration. And leadership.
