Julphar was founded in 1980 by the late His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the then Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. Since then, Julphar has been providing innovative, high-quality, affordable healthcare solutions to families around the world. The company’s business is based on three core units: Julphar Diabetes Solutions, Julphar Generics and Julphar Life, the consumer division. Our medicines target important therapeutic categories including cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, skin, pain management, wound healing, scars, anti-infectives, anemia, gynaecology, dermatology and erectile dysfunction. Julphar employs over 5,000 people and distributes its products to over 50 countries across five continents. With 16 internationally accredited manufacturing facilities in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, Julphar produces over one million boxes of medicines daily. In 2012, Julphar became one of the largest insulin producers thanks to our state-of-the-art biotechnology plant in the UAE.
